Welcome to Day 3 on my series of Body Shapes!
Today is all about the Oval Shape.
The Oval is a very common shape and if you are Oval you have a pronounced mid section, large bust, slender legs and wide hips.
Being fullest around your mid section, you want to draw emphasis away from this and shine the light on your strong points.
Showing off
will make you look longer and leaner.
The most common mistake Oval body shapes make is to wear loose, baggy clothes… that actually adds volume!
Streamline your frame by showcasing your neckline in
which draw the eye up and away from your Middle.
Fabrics of substance are important as they will flatter and disguise.
Open cuts, such as jackets, cardigans, and shirts that finish at the hip do a fantastic job in streamlining your silhouette and are your best friend.
Again choose styles that have shoulder details like Lapels. Embellishment around the wrist area draws the eye away from the mid section.
Slim straight dark jeans are best.
Choose full length not cropped as this will shorten your leg.
For dresses go for empire line, which are great for nipping you in under the bust and skimming over your tummy. Or straight dresses with clever side panel detail that create great slimming illusions.
Shoes are your best friend!!! They are the best distraction and great for drawing the eye down.
Bold statement jewellery in earrings, rings and bracelets look amazing on you and keep necklines clear.
