Hi Everyone,
It’s that time of year that is the hardest to dress for. From March to May we don’t want to wear heavy woolly clothing… yet it’s still cold.
Psychologically we want something fresh and new to re-energise us…. never more needed!! So where to start??
It’s a gradual process, but a good starting point is a colour.
For me, I start to introduce the colour navy, a good spring baseline colour that lends itself to so many other colours. By introducing navy and at the same time begin to cut back on black, will instantly update and refresh your wardrobe. A piece of navy knitwear or a navy mac/coat will make great building blocks to which you can add your jeans or tailoring for a warm but Spring look.
Begin to buy some coloured sweatshirts/knits or shirts in red, green or pink to wear with jeans or leggings which, while being warm and cosy will give a lighter optimistic feel.
For the foreseeable things are going to continue to be casual so bear that in mind when online shopping, no point in buying stuff that’s going to sit in your wardrobe. You want great smart/casual pieces to wear now.
While we are overdosed on “lounge wear” start to think about a great navy jacket or trench coat. What about a new pair of slides, coloured cross body bag or gold hoop earrings.
Just little changes styled well is all we need!
Maria ❤️
