Maria Carton shares advice on her 4 super easy top tips for the school run. Yes, its that time of the year that conjures up so many emotions from seeing your little ones off to school for the first time, to a new beginning in secondary school for your teenage son/daughter. The stay-cations are over, and the seasons have changed in the blink of an eye. If, like me you, have been working from home and all the days seem the same, then the oncoming return to school is a welcome semblance of normality and return to routine. It also means getting organised, preparing lunches, uniforms and of course the infamous school run.
We all know when we are looking our best, we feel great and are way more confident. So, you know that feeling when against your better judgement, you’ve sneaked into the supermarket with zero effort made, and of course bump into someone you know and start apologizing and making excuses for your appearance? Yep been there!! Or know someone who always looks so well put together and wonder where do they get the time? So, what does looking our best even mean? Does it mean full make up and high heels, fake tan and dresses and having to setting the alarm an hour earlier….No!
We are great at getting the kids organised, the house organised but we forget to get ourselves organised! Yes, you, have to get organised too. Its not about prioritizing yourself its about giving yourself a slice of the organizing pie too. The biggest thing that will slow you down in the morning and put you on a bad footing for the day is not knowing what to wear. So first just have a little think about the following

Here are my 4 super easy cool looks for the school run:
All these looks or some of these looks I know you already have in your wardrobe. Its just a case of pulling them together. Most of the above pieces can be restyled and mixed up with each other too. These are my key staples “uniform” for the school run and the best part is, it’s so easy to add to as the season progresses. When you know what your wearing, it is a no brainer. Next because your super organised and dressed in 5 you now have 5 mins to pop on some bronzer, mascara and lip balm (all in my kitchen drawer) this is my “looking my best” and ready for the day ahead.
My top tips for bad hair days:
Your not just ready for the school run your ready to accept the offer of a cappuccino!
